Tax Manager- Remote

Who you are:

• CPA certification

• 5+ years experience in public accounting and tax

• Hands on experience with review and preparation of all forms and schedules related to individuals, gifts, trusts, estates and business entities

• Exceptional client service and communication skills. Ability to communicate with clients with a variety of tax knowledge with efficiency and empathy

• Possess a strong background in effective engagement management, knowing how to manage all aspects of client accounts. Work harmoniously with remote outsourced staff.

• Excellent project management and presentation skills. Ability to organize daily work responsibilities and projects, prioritize and meet deadlines without direct supervision.

• Experience with various aspects of state & local taxation, compliance & advisory, including sales & use, personal & real property, franchise and multi-jurisdiction income tax. (Expertise is valued but not required. A base level of multi-state income/ franchise experience is expected).

• Deep expertise in federal and state compliance requirements for businesses and individuals. Ability to identify gaps in client’s compliance requirements, communicate those to the client, and render necessary services to close the gap.

• International experience and knowledge (This experience is valued but not a requirement of the position).

• Demonstrated experience in effectively building, interfacing and managing client base.

• Excellent supervisory, organizational, problem solving, critical/ analytical thinking, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.

• A strong, unwavering commitment to the client’s interests above all. Demonstrated ability to place the client’s interest above self-interest.

• Deep expertise in Drake tax software, Quickbooks Online and Desktop, and Microsoft Excel. You should also have the ability to figure out solutions to software issues independently.
