Perform skilled accounting clerical work involving supervision of and participation in the work of a large unit maintaining numerous and diversified departmental accounts and records. Responsible for the application of bookkeeping principles to a variety of transactions in a central accounting system.
Responsible for the application of bookkeeping principles to a variety of transactions in a central accounting system. Prepare and submit purchase requests. Consult with Procurement, Receiving and requestors regarding the status of purchase orders and the receipt of goods and services rendered. Send copy of dispatched purchase orders to vendor and university contacts. Maintain standing order transactions on Excel spreadsheet against Task Orders. Prepare and submit purchase order and non-purchase order payment vouchers for invoices. Submit Vendor Supplier Information form to vendors for completion who are not set-up in vendor database. Reconcile statement of accounts reports. Prepare fiscal year standing order contracts. Serve as a back-up to create and submit payment vouchers and requisitions for absent employees. Serve as a backup reconcile Procard statements, review and reconcile statements and assist with processing Procard vouchers. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Detail-oriented individual with excellent speaking, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office software, including but not limited to, the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience using PeopleSoft. Excellent typing and accounting skills.
