Tax accounting and financial services firm located in Greenway Plaza and have been doing business in Houston for over 30 years. We are in search of a full time staff accountant to join our team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Individual will work directly with CPAs. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of tax returns, communicating with clients, posting in QuickBooks and data entry in Lacerte
• At least 3 years in recent public accounting with experience in preparation of various income tax returns, including corporate, partnership, trust and individual returns.
• Responsible for reconciliation of bank and general ledger accounts and financial statement preparation. Experience should include strong computer skills with a proficiency in Word, Excel, QuickBooks, Lacerte Tax and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Candidate expected to work additional hours during tax season.

Skills and Qualifications:

• CPA preferred
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• At least 3 years of tax experience
• Proficiency in Intuit Lacerte strongly desired
• Proficiency in QuickBooks strongly desired
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple tasks on-time
• Proactive team player with a strong desire to learn and grow
