This manager position will be responsible for managing two capital accountants on various tasks including: reviewing and distributing corporate capital projects to be closed; providing accounting guidance to both the staff and the hospitals on capitalization policies; managing the month end close process including reviewing journal entries, preparing month end files, running reports to reconcile the FA and PJ subledger to the general ledger, estimating depreciation on the corporate projects, and preparing month end consolidated entries; reviewing asset uploads to the FA system; reviewing depreciation on the physician practice entities; training staff and overseeing the annual year end close process and PP&E rollforwards.
Qualifications:Required:
- Degree in Accounting
- 5-7 years / knowledge of fixed assets/capital accounting and general ledger accounting
- Understanding of GAAP
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred:
- Supervisory / management experience preferred
